Part of the territory with outdoor hockey games is seeing what those wacky hockey players are going to do with the eye black that's usually reserved just for the football and baseball players in this part of the world.

You get guys like Paul Ranger with his tiger stripes at the Winter Classic or Alex Ovechkin painting a mustache on his face. Funny stuff.

Sometimes it goes a little too far. Islanders forward Cal Clutterbuck demonstrated that on Tuesday when his team practiced at Yankee Stadium.

That ... that's not such a good look. The blackface bit never goes over well as Tyler Bozak and Raffi Torres can attest.

After the practice, Clutterbuck said it just got out of hand, no harm intended.

I seriously doubt that Clutterbuck did it intentionally or anything like that but let's just say he shouldn't go with this look under the lights on Wednesday.
