It's been a weird time in Ottawa, what with face of the franchise Daniel Alfredsson signing in Detroit and then the messy, public breakup that has ensued. The latest chapters of that soap opera came last week when Alfredsson, back in Ottawa, spoke with the media the first time and gave his side of the story as to why he's no longer a Senator.

It was interesting to say the least and had to be a bit torturous for the Senators fans still upset they lost their captain. Seeing this photo from Monday, at the Senators facility no less, won't help heal any wounds at all (photo from Allen Panzeri).

Your eyes do not deceive you, that's Alfredsson still decked out in Senators gear Monday in Ottawa.

This isn't totally uncommon, players do summer workouts with their old teams all the time (Roberto Luongo, for example, still works out at the Panthers' facilities in Florida). Not to mention it's probably all the workout gear that Alfie has considering where he's been for all his career. It's just that right now, after the week's events, it looks ... really weird.

As a friendly reminder, the Red Wings will visit Ottawa on Dec. 1. That should be really interesting.
