PHOTO: Rene Bourque's parents' yard littered with hats after Game 5
Rene Bourque had a hat trick in Montreal on Tuesday night so on Wednesday his parents back in Alberta woke up to a lawn littered with hats.
Rene Bourque has had a great postseason, a postseason that got even better with a hat trick on Tuesday night in Game 5 against the Rangers. He scored twice in the second period and then again in the third, scoring the winning goal for the Canadiens in their 7-4 win. It was a good night.
It would have been even better had his parents been able to witness a shower of hats for their son's achievement but they were back home in Lac La Biche, Alberta. They have been watching some games with the other people in Lac La Biche but otherwise are a long way from the environment of Bell Centre.
No worries, the locals decided to bring the hat trick to them. Take a look at the Bourque's house on Wednesday morning.
For once it was actually a good sight when a player's yard or his family's was littered with something after a game.
