Player from Lithuania throws stick, hits referee
Here is a Lithuanian hockey player throwing his stick at a referee.
It appears throwing equipment is the big news of the day. First there was Evander Kane, and now this.
This latest video comes from the division two under-18 tournament and features the final seconds of a game between Lithuania and Great Britian.
Great Britian ended up winning the game 3-2 thanks to a shorthanded goal in the final minute of the third period.
One Lithuanian player was not pleased with all of this and decided to violently throw his stick across the ice ... in the general direction of a referee.
I don't think it's intentional (the referee seems to skate into the path of the stick), but still. Wow.
