Stadium Series: Weather forecast in LA calls for low of 50, no rain
The weather outlook for Saturday's Stadium Series game in LA between the Kings and Ducks calls for a high of 79 and low of 50 ... and no rain.
As of now, the forecast on Saturday in Los Angeles calls for partly cloudy skies with a high of 79 and a low of 50 degrees and zero chance of rain. In other words, it's going to be the exact day you'd picture in Los Angeles at the end of January.
The game will drop the puck at 7 p.m. Pacific Time after the sun goes down to keep the temperatures cooler but the biggest factor is the lack of rain. Precipitation would be a bigger problem than slightly warmer temperatures. In fact, the temperatures being consistent this time of year has helped, even if it's slightly warmer than you would expect to be conducive for the purposes of good ice.
It's no polar vortex but the forecast gives about the best possible scenario the NHL could have asked for at this time of year in LA aside from a rare cold blast coming through.
