Stanley Cup Final: Grades for Game 2
Grades: Tuukka Rask helps Bruins withstand early onslaught, earns solid 'A' for Game 2.
|C+||The Blackhawks controlled the game for the entire first period. The last two periods and much of overtime belonged to the Bruins. Had Chicago capitalized on its litany of chances in the first period, it could've been a different story.|
|B||The Bruins came out flat in the first, but started ratcheting things up as the game wore on. If not for Tuukka Rask, it could've been over pretty quickly. Boston got back to playing a nasty physical game and held the Blackhawks to nine shots over the last 40 of regulation.|
|A||Tuukka Rask was the biggest key for Boston in earning a crucial Game 2 victory. After stopping 18 of 19 shots in the first period, he was able to keep things controlled between the pipes. Rask remained solid throughout, making 33 saves total.|
|A-||Daniel Paille was the overtime hero for Boston, but his line along with Tyler Seguin and Chris Kelly gave the Bruins energy throughout the game. Paille finished with two points and sent the series back to Boston all tied up.|
