VIDEO: Adam Burish, Oliver Ekman-Larsson tangle in yoga pose
Adam Burish of the Sharks and Oliver Ekman-Larsson of the Coyotes had a run-in on Monday night, resulting in some awkward yoga moves.
Adam Burish and Oliver Ekman-Larsson found themselves converging in slow motion like Austin Powers on a steamroller. The collision after the blocked shot from Burish was even more awkward than the approach. Way more awkward.
I think Sharks color man Drew Remenda said it best when he described it as "a new yoga pose; the Downward Desert Dog." Either that or Burish has been watching too much WWE and was trying to go for the Tombstone Piledriver. Regardless, it was weird. And funny.
Perhaps my favorite part is watching the referee right next to the play. He just stands there, watching, wondering what the heck he is supposed to do, if anything.
The players eventually took care of it on their own, but how bizarre.
