VIDEO: Alec Martinez mic'd up for Cup-clinching goal, screams a lot
How would you react if you won the Stanley Cup with an overtime goal for your team? If you're Alec Martinez you would just scream and keep on screaming.
So what exactly does it sound like when somebody scores a Stanley Cup-clinching goal in overtime on home ice?
There is screaming, lots and lots of nothing but screaming. LA Kings defenseman Alec Martinez just so happened to be mic'd up for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final on Friday night and so when he scored, he couldn't contain himself, just yelling in triumph, taking a breath and then yelling some more.
While the celebration goes on behind the Rangers net, you can't help but notice (again) how devastated Henrik Lundqvist looks. It's just the saddest. The contrast in joy and pain is what sports are all about.
