VIDEO: Duncan Keith slashes Jeff Carter in the face
Duncan Keith earned a double-minor on Tuesday night for this one-handed stick swing to the face of Los Angeles Kings forward Jeff Carter.
Chicago's Duncan Keith is one of the best defensemen in the NHL, but in the second period of Game 3 on Tuesday he let his emotions get the best of him and lost his cool during an exchange with Kings forward Jeff Carter.
After Carter took a swipe with his stick at Keith's hand (as Keith bent down to pick up his lost glove), Keith responded by coming up behind him and delivering a one-handed stick swing to his face.
He earned a double-minor for high-sticking while Carter went to the Kings locker room for a short period of time.
Keith attempted to apologize to Carter.
