VIDEO: Dustin Tokarski robs Carl Hagelin with end of stick save
Carl Hagelin had a wide-open net to shoot at and he would have hit it had the end of Dustin Tokarski's stick hadn't gotten in the way.
We've seen some great saves in the postseason and we've already seen a few great ones from Dustin Tokarski in his couple of games for the Canadiens. None of them were as amazing as his save on Carl Hagelin in Game 5.
The Rangers worked the puck free in the neutral zone which sprung Martin St. Louis and Hagelin on a 2-on-1 rush. They executed it to perfection, St. Louis throwing a saucer pass to Hagelin who had a yawning cage awaiting.
Hagelin did his part and sent the puck right toward the back of the net yet somehow, Tokarski made the save, the ridiculous save.
At first it looked like Hagelin just missed the net but take a closer look, the puck was deflected off the end of Tokarski's stick (GIF via @PeteBlackburn).
Lucky? You bet, but that goes down as a save for Tokarski. One ridiculous save.
