Occasionally hockey equipment makes it into the stands. Most often it's a puck but from time to time it's something like a helmet belonging to Adam Pardy.

Or a glove belonging to James van Riemsdyk.

In Tuesday night's 4-3 Maple Leafs win in Boston, van Riemsdyk had a strong night. He also got rocked by Johnny Boychuk with a big hit. This didn't happen near the boards where it might be understandable that some piece of equipment might hop over and into the stands. No, this happened all the way out in the faceoff circle in the offensive zone and still the hit was enough to send JVR's glove flying like a bottlerocket on the Fourth of July into the seats.

Jack Edwards certainly enjoyed it even if JVR might not have.
