VIDEO: Kevin Bieksa makes amazing mid-air kick save
Kevin Bieksa had a save of the season candidate on Sunday with an amazing kick save on an airborne puck in Florida.
With the Canucks holding onto a 3-2 lead mid-way through the third period, it looked like the Panthers had the equalizing goal. Colby Robak had the puck flying toward him so he swung and connected, sending the puck toward the open net. In came Bieksa from the far post, though, got his leg up and kicked the puck out and to safety.
Simply amazing ability. Robak was a bit stunned when he saw the replay on the big screen and how can you blame him, you won't see saves like that often if ever.
I guess all those pregame soccer warmups really do pay off for hockey players.
