VIDEO: Kings make margarita in Cup on 'Kimmel,' NYC mayor sings
The Stanley Cup made a visit to 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' on Monday where Justin Williams and Alec Martinez helped make a margarita out of it. Then NYC mayor Bill de Blasio paid up for the Rangers losing with a song.
The Stanley Cup championship tour began on Monday and did the Kings kicked it off with quite the fiesta.
Kimmel being the host that he is, wanted to have some fun with the guest of honor so after talking it over with Keeper of the Cup Phil Pritchard, he and the two Kings came to the terrific conclusion they should make margaritas out of the Cup because why not? So that's what they did with Pritchard's blessing. And then they drank the margarita out of big colorful straws, just what every margarita needs.
That wasn't the end of the fun, though. LA's mayor Eric Garcetti returned -- and took a little sip of the margarita himself -- so that New York City mayor Bill de Blasio could pay up on his bet for the New York Rangers losing and sing I Love LA on national TV with a little help from friends.
A-plus for effort, Mayor de Blasio, and any bet that requires some embarrassment on TV is good by us.
