VIDEO: NYPD, FDNY bagpipes, drums greet teams at Yankee Stadium
The Rangers and Devils took to the ice on Sunday at Yankee Stadium with the bagpipes and drums bands from the NYPD and FDNY.
Each outdoor game has its own flavor and charm, something that was abundantly on display in Los Angeles on Saturday night. With Vin Scully and Bob Miller leading the introductions, the teams came to the ice led by the Trojan Marching Band. Quite a sight.
The same held true for the Rangers and Devils on a cold Sunday at Yankee Stadium but instead of the Trojan Marching Band, the teams were welcomed onto the ice by the New York Police Department and Fire Department of New York Pipes and Drums.
Different but awesome in its own regard. Bagpipes really create an awesome background, don't they?
