VIDEO: Patrick Sharp surprises Hawks fans with Olympic wishes
Blackhawks fans were recording well wishes for their players in the Olympics when they were surprised by Patrick Sharp.
The Chicago Blackhawks are one of the many teams in the NHL that are blessed to have a lot of players who are good enough to play in the Olympics next week. In total they have 10 players representing five different nations in Sochi.
A few fans decided they would take the opportunity to record video messages for their favorite Blackhawks players, wishing them well in the upcoming Games. Nice stuff.
The fans were then greeted by Patrick Sharp on the television screen with what looked like a recorded message. Then the messages got personal and seconds later Sharp was emerging from the adjacent room much to their great surprise.
It was part of a promotion with the Illinois lottery, which has had Sharp surprise Hawks fans before but the free lottery tickets aren't going to be what these fans remember most. Even the fans who came to wish Patrick Kane and Team USA the best were greeted warmly by Sharp, After all, they all are still Hawks.
