VIDEO: Penguins have Pirates fever, play wiffle ball on ice
The Penguins are feeling the Pittsburgh solidarity, getting in the Pirates spirit by playing wiffle ball on the ice. In skates.
While the season is about to start, the Pittsburgh Penguins have Pirates fever. The baseball team across town has rekindled the city's love for baseball, one that even touched the Penguins who played wiffle ball dressed as the Pirates on Tuesday. On the ice. In their skates.
It's always great to see the players having fun in down time. These are the types of things that not only are enjoyable but go a long way toward building that always needed chemistry or whatever other intangibles people love to rave about.
Also, quite the shot by who I believe is Chris Kunitz, sending the ball into the seats. Good bat speed, no wonder he can score so well. Here's a little more on the game including some additional video from CBS Pittsburgh.
The Pirates will play host to the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday night in Pittsburgh in the wild card game.
