VIDEO: Rene Bourque caps off hat trick with goal early in third
Rene Bourque is having quite the postseason. He added three goals to his playoff total in Game 5 with a hat trick in just more than two periods of play.
Bourque scored in the second period as the Canadiens opened up a lead only to lose it right away against the Rangers. Bourque came right back and beat new Rangers goalie Cam Talbot to regain the lead and give him two goals on the game.
Here's that goal, just about as pretty as the one at the top.
Bourque then completed the hat trick with a goal early in the third period, making sure the cheers weren't the only things flying in Bell Centre.
How wild has this postseason been for Bourque? The hat trick means he now has eight goals in 16 postseason games to go with three assists. During the regular season? Bourque had nine goals and seven assists in 63 games. Talk about finding your game at the right time.
