Lightning start Steven Stamkos is the best shooter in the NHL. Unfortunately he's not the best to shoot with a camera for the purposes of a commercial.
Stamkos is the star of a new Coke Zero ad, a whole two-minute long segment. In it Stamkos plays Shawn Warford, a center traded by his dad the coach and apparently GM with the wisdom of TSN's Bob McKenzie as the zamboni driver and also features a quick cameo from Jordan Eberle.
I know Stamkos was woring hard with Cabbie on polishing up those acting chops, but he still has a long way to go. Ol' Bobo, though, proved that he's comfortable in front of a camera considering he does it nearly every day.
Clearly, Stamkos was just enamored with the thrill of doing a TV spot, tweeting this last week.
Just saw my acting performance in the latest #MomentZero film from @CokeZero_CA. Pretty excited!!

It was a lot of fun and is cool to see yourself in a commercial shilling a soft drink, I have no doubt. Still, I'll kindly suggest Stammer stick with his day job, he's pretty good at that one.
By the way, Eberle didn't just make a cameo in Stamkos' commercial, he had his own as well, featuring Fox Sports 1's Jay and Dan (formerly of TSN).
