After receiving a solid body check from Penguins forward Tanner Glass, Eric Nystrom was ready to drop the gloves. It ended up being a bad decision.

Both players traded blows, but Glass started unloading with some heavy rights, one of which dislodged Nystrom’s helmet. As Nystrom was trying to get his loose helmet off, Glass caught him in the back of the head with another heavy blow, dropping the Predators forward to the ice and leaving him badly bloodied.

Nystrom looked awfully woozy as he tried to get his feet back under him and needed help up. He immediately headed to the dressing room for repairs. Nystrom did not return for the third period with what the Predators are calling an upper-body injury.
