VIDEO: Tom Wilson takes out three Blue Jackets at same time
A trio of Columbus Blue Jackets all ended up at the same place at the same time as Capitals forward Tom Wilson. Only the Washington rookie was left standing.
This might be the most Blue Jackets thing I’ve ever seen. Somehow defensemen Nikita Nikitin and David Savard and forward Jared Boll all ended up at the same place at the same time as Capitals rookie Tom Wilson. Only Wilson was left standing.

It appears this all started when Nikitin and Boll weren’t looking where they were going and collided. Nikitin got the extra impact on the big Capitals rookie. Meanwhile, Boll was sent sprawling out and ended up clipping Savard, who went down as well.
I know these aren’t your daddy’s Blue Jackets, but at least for one play they turned the clocks back to the early 2000s and it was delightful.
It wasn’t all funny, though. Nikitin was injured on the play, but did return to action.
