VIDEO: Torey Krug's awesome pass leads to Jarome Iginla goal
The Bruins scored two power-play goals in 32 seconds on Saturday night, the second of those two thanks to Torey Krug's awesome pass to Jarome Iginla.
The Bruins scored two power-play goals in the span of 32 seconds early in the second period on Saturday, both with Tomas Plekanec in the penalty box for the Canadiens. The second goal came barely into the penalty when Jarome Iginla beat Carey Price five-hole.
It was a nicely placed shot but this was a goal where it wasn't about the finish but instead the setup.
The fight was going on for the puck in the corner boards after the faceoff and eventually the puck shuffled up to Torey Krug against the boards and with a little bit of room. Without looking, he zipped a pass through the slot right to the wide-open Iginla.
What. A. Pass.
That helps to explain why Krug's presence has helped transform the Bruins power play into a moribound unit into a dangerous one, because he can make things happen on the man advantage.
The first half of Game 5 turned into a special-teams game and as you can see, that was alright by the Bruins in this one.
