WATCH: Lightning coach Jon Cooper mic'd up on Red Carpet
Jon Cooper is one of the most entertaining coaches in the league as evidenced by his mic'd up adventures at the NHL Awards Show on Tuesday.
Lightning coach Jon Cooper might not have won the Jack Adams Award as the NHL's top coach on Tuesday night, but he won another completely made-up award: funniest coach.
Seeing as how Cooper left his job as a lawyer to become a hockey coach, he has always been cut from a different cloth than most coaches. He's a bit more open than most and as it turns out, funnier too. He soaked up the atmosphere on the Red Carpet -- which, to his pleasant surprise was actually red -- and the Lightning had cameras a mic to catch it all.
Is there any doubt that Cooper is not only a heck of a coach but quite the personality, too? No, no there's not.
