1. P.K. Subban -- Montreal Canadiens
Already known as one of the biggest villains in the NHL, P.K. Subban's playoff beard takes his heel approach to the next level. After a run to the conference finals in 2014, Subban and the Habs are ready to pick up where they left off; playoff beards included.

2. Alex Ovechkin - Washington Capitals
Alex Ovechkin's scraggly beard doesn't draw the envy of other menly men's facial hair, but his skills on the ice do.

4. Henrik Lundqvist -- New York Rangers
They call him King Henry for a lot of reasons, one of which being his all around facial hair game. Henrik Lundqvist's playoff beard was a big part of the Rangers run to the Stanley Cup Finals last season, and New York is hoping this year it will take them to the next level.

5. Kyle Brodziak -- Minnesota Wild
Among the highlights of Minnesota's run to the conference semis last season was Kyle Brodziak's improvement with his playoff beard. The Wild are back in the postseason, so look for Brodziak to pick up where he left off.

6. Daniel Winnik -- Pittsburgh Penguins
Daniel Winnik got some nice growth going last year while helping the Anaheim Ducks to the conference semifinals. Now with the Penguins, he has another opportunity in the playoffs to let it all hang out.

7. Brandon Bollig -- Chicago Blackhawks
While helping the Blackhawks come within one game of the Stanley Cup Finals last season, left wing Brandon Bollig put on display a beard so dark it almost appeared to be painted.

8. Claude Giroux -- Philadelphia Flyers
Claude Giroux's bright red bush was one of last season's best playoff beards. The Flyers missed out on the 2015 postseason, meaning a little less competition in the facial hair category.

9. Dustin Brown -- L.A. Kings
Dustin Brown's spotty, wispy playoff beard last season was almost as intriguing as the Kings' run to the Stanley Cup. With the Kings on the outside looking in this year, we unfortunately won't have the pleasure of watching that odd thing grow.

10. Maxime Talbot -- Boston Bruins
In only one round of playoffs with the Colorado Avalanche last season, center Maxime Talbot sprouted a pretty respectable piece of facial hair. Now with the Boston Bruins who narrowly missed this year's playoffs, Talbot will have to wait at least until next season to give it another go.

11. Radko Gudas -- Philadelphia Flyers
As part of a Tampa Bay Lightning team that was swept in the first round last year, Radko Gudas produced one of the better overall playoff beards in just four games. Having been traded to the Flyers, there will be no opportunity in 2015 for Gudas to take his beard game to the next level.

12. Brent Burns -- San Jose Sharks
San Jose's Brent Burns is a consistent contender for the NHL's most respected facial hair, which he put on full display during last season's first round loss to the L.A. Kings. Unfortunately for both Burns and beard aficionados around the world, the Sharks will be sitting out this postseason.

13. Drew Doughty -- L.A. Kings
As part of the 2014 Stanley Cup-winning Kings, Drew Doughty had plenty of time to craft a very solid playoff beard complete with a soul patch. Like his teammate Dustin Brown though, Doughty will have to view this year's playoffs from the sideline.

14. Henrik Zetterberg -- Detroit Red Wings
Renowned beard-grower Henrik Zetterberg only had one playoff round to put his facial hair skills on display last season. However, back in the 2015 playoffs, you can be sure Zetterberg's fired up to get the playoff beard back in action.

15. Jordie Benn -- Dallas Stars
In the short, one round that Dallas was in the playoffs last year, Benn's playoff beard made as much noise as any other. Unfortunately that effort won't be replicated this season because the Stars missed the playoffs.

16. Zdeno Chara -- Boston Bruins
If being nearly seven-feet tall wasn't intimidating enough, Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara sprouted a savage-looking playoff beard during Boston's run to the conference semis last year. Fortunately for the 2015 NHL playoff field, the Bruins and Chara won't be participating this year.

17. Sidney Crosby -- Pittsburgh Penguins
While the beard itself is pretty unremarkable, the fact that the baby faced Crosby goes for it earns him a bit of respect. After several playoff failures in recent years, he again has a chance to add to his legend, and perhaps with some playoff success, his facial hair will follow suit.
