  • Blues' Paul Stastny: Impactful in return from injury

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/23/17) Stastny returned from a foot injury Saturday, ultimately lighting the lamp en route to a 4-3 series win over the Wild in overtime.

While he'd missed the previous 14 games, Stastny looked like his usual productive self in this one, hoisting four shots on goal with a plus-1 rating over 22:42 of ice time, including 3:17 on the power play. It'll be worth checking the daily fantasy sites to see if he's underpriced by virtue of having missed all that time.

Blues' Paul Stastny: On ice for warmups before Game 5

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/22/17) Stastny (foot) took warmups prior to Game 5 in Minnesota, Jeremy Rutherford of St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Stastny hasn't played since March 21 in Colorado, where he left in the first period. He has been the Blues' best faceoff man this season at 55.7 percent. He's set to be on a line with Jaden Schwartz and Vladimir Tarasenko, and is also expected to draw play on the power play as well, where he scored five goals and added eight assists in the regular season. Stastny is a significant DFS threat going forward if he can stay healthy.

Blues' Paul Stastny: Unfit to play Wednesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/19/17) Stastny (foot) will not play Wednesday for Game 4 against the Wild.

Stastny was put to work in a morning session Tuesday, but the veteran pivot evidently still has more hurdles to clear in his rehab. Having already missed the past 13 contests, the Quebec native could be paid a huge favor in the form of extra rest if the Notes end up sweeping the Wild on Wednesday night.

Blues' Paul Stastny: Shows up for morning sesssion

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/18/17) Stastny (foot) was on the ice Tuesday morning, on the eve of Wednesday's Game 4 playoff match versus the visiting Wild, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

This can be considered a big milestone in Stastny's recovery, though it's too early to know whether he'll be fit to play in the next contest. St. Louis has a commanding 3-0 series lead -- with Ivan Barbashev and Patrik Berglund holding down the center spots in the top six -- but Stastny is a game changer in his own right and will be welcomed back with opened arms once he's ready. He had 40 points (18 goals, 22 assists) with five game-winners in 66 regular-season contests.

Blues' Paul Stastny: Officially out for Game 3

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/16/17) Stastny (foot) has officially been removed from consideration for Game 3 return against the Wild, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Stastny didn't skate during Saturday's practice, foreshadowing his absence from the lineup for a 13th consecutive tilt. The situation may have been treated with more urgency had St. Louis not won the first two road games, but the veteran will continue to rest and recover for now. His next chance to rejoin the lineup arrives Wednesday in Game 4.
