Stephan allows six goals in OT loss: Petr Prucha scored 53 seconds into overtime past Tobias Stephan to lift the Phoenix Coyotes to a 6-5 victory over the Dallas Stars on Monday night. Prucha took a pass from Shane Doan at the top right corner of the crease and shoved the puck past Stephan for a power-play goal just 16 seconds after Andrew Hutchinson was whistled for tripping. Stephan held a 1-0 lead in the first before Phoenix reeled off two straight goals. Dallas tied the game at 2 and then Stephan allowed the Coyotes to jump out to a two-goal lead. Phoenix held a 5-3 lead until Dallas tied the game with 58 seconds left. Stephan made 27 saves in the loss.

Fantasy Analysis

Stephan made his first start since March 1 Monday and would have likely gotten another start had he performed at a high level. He did not and Marty Turco is likely to jump back in net despite his recent struggles. Stephan hasn't seen a lot of time this season as a backup to Turco and that isn't expected to change down the stretch. Stephan still has minimal Fantasy appeal. The Stars TG is a No. 2 Fantasy option.

G Tobias Stephan didn't get much of a chance to show his stuff this season. Part of that comes from the Stars' and Marty Turco's lackluster beginning, and Turco playing more to work out the kinks. But it also stemmed from Stephan's work in September, which didn't impress the team brass. "He didn't have a great camp, and never gave the coaching staff a sense that he could take the ball and run with it for a stretch of time," coach Dave Tippett said. 43/0/2009
