Penguins get lines set without Malkin: The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Penguins coach Dan Bylsma has set his scoring lines for Friday's game at Columbus, the first without Evgeni Malkin. Chris Kunitz, Sidney Crosby and Bill Guerin will remain on the top line, while Jordan Staal, Ruslan Fedotenko and Chris Bourque will be on the second unit. Matt Cooke and Craig Adams will be fixtures on the third line, with Pascal Dupuis, Mike Rupp, Eric Godard and Chris Conner rotating in the final spot.

RW Chris Conner was promoted from the AHL on Thursday and accompanied the Penguins on their charter flight to Colubmus for a game Friday. However, he could not practice Friday morning at Nationwide Arena because his equipment had not arrived. His AHL club, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, was in Winnipeg on Thursday. Conner barely made his connection flight to Minneapolis and was on standby, and his equipment never made it at all. It arrived in Columbus on Friday afternoon, allowing him to play that night. 10/30/2009
