Johnson picked up a pair of assists and was a plus-3 in Friday's win over the Sabres.That's three points and a plus-5 rating in two games for Johnson, who is now up to 39 points in 78 games on the season. He's been producing consistently since mid-March and will have a chance to reach the 40-point barrier for the first time since 2010-11 when the Blue Jackets close out their regular season Saturday against the Islanders.

Johnson (illness) is on the ice for pregame warmups and appears in line to play Thursday against the Islanders.The illness prevented Johnson from skating in the morning with the rest of the team, but it appears the extra hours off were all he needed to regain health. Barring a late setback in warmups, he'll slot in at his familiar spot on the Jackets' top defensive pairing.

The blueliner is still sitting on an ugly minus-16 rating, but with three points in his last four games -- all of which have been Columbus victories -- he should make for a solid activation.
