  • Canadiens' Chris Terry: Signs one-year extension

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/3/17) Terry signed a one-year extension with Montreal on Friday.

The winger only has four points in 14 NHL games this year, but he's been a valuable member of the AHL St. John's squad, notching 50 points in 38 games. His fantasy value is limited given he spends most of his time in the minors -- when he does get called up, he's not worth a roster spot.

Canadiens' Chris Terry: Sent to St. John's

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/15/17) Terry was sent back to AHL St. John's on Sunday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Terry was placed on waivers Saturday, so the move should come as no surprise after going unclaimed. The longtime borderline winger posted just four points in 14 games with the Canadiens and averaged just 9:53 of ice time over his short span with the club. It's unlikely he will ever make a large enough impact to be ownable in the vast majority of fantasy league, but he could make his way back to the top level should injuries dictate a recall.

Canadiens' Chris Terry: Placed on waivers

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/14/17) Terry was waived by the Canadiens on Saturday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Terry kept going through lengthy stretches of watching games from the press box, so it's not all that surprising to see the Habs giving him the ax. The last straw was how he skated to a minus-3 rating in an embarrassing 7-1 loss at the expense of starting goalie Carey Price, who's not accustomed to such a poor showing. Still, he could end up with AHL St. John's if he clears waivers.

Canadiens' Chris Terry: Scores in Thursday's loss

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(12/29/16) Terry scored his second goal of the season in Montreal's 4-3 overtime loss to Tampa Bay on Wednesday.

The Canadiens' fourth line got on the scoresheet with Terry finishing a play started by linemates Michael McCarron and Daniel Carr. It was the second straight game with a point for Terry. The fourth line has been on the ice for goals in three of the last four games, something Montreal really needs at a time when its forward corps has been thinned by injury.

Canadiens' Chris Terry: Pockets first goal of season

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(12/21/16) Terry scored a third-period goal in Montreal's 5-1 win over Anaheim on Tuesday.

Terry, who scored his first goal of the season, is up with the parent organization while several forwards rehab from injury. With Sven Andrighetto (upper body) nearing a return, Terry's hold on an active roster spot has a limited shelf life.
