Esposito unlikely for training camp: The Sports Xchange reports Thrashers prospect Angelo Esposito continues to recover from a knee injury (torn ACL) suffered in February while playing for his Canadian junior team in Montreal. Esposito has been working out with a trainer three times a week and spends a lot of time in the pool as he tries to rebuild strength in his leg. He won't get back on skates until July, making it unlikely that he would be able to make the Thrashers' roster out of training camp.

Fantasy Analysis

Atlanta picked up Esposito in the deadline deal that sent Marian Hossa to Pittsburgh in 2007-08. He posted 24 goals and 42 points in 35 games with Montreal (QMJHL) this season, which was supposed to be his last on the junior circuit. Now, it seems as though he will have to start the year in the minors unless he makes a miraculous recovery. Esposito remains just a long-term Fantasy keeper.
