Esposito messes up knee again: The Sports Xchange reports Thrashers prospect Angelo Esposito, acquired from Pittsburgh in the trade that sent Marian Hossa to the Penguins, will miss the remainder of this season with the Chicago Wolves (AHL) after tearing the ACL in his right knee. Esposito missed most of last season in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League after tearing ligaments in the same knee.

Fantasy Analysis

Esposito, the 20th pick in the 2007 NHL draft, appears headed down the road of the once upon a time prospects that never made it big. Clearly, it's not talent that is holding Esposito back but a nasty slew of injuries. He had no goals and four assists in 12 games with Chicago, so he was struggling to come back from his first serious knee injury. We wonder how he will back bounce a second time? Esposito should only be owned in the deepest of long-term keeper formats.
