  • Kings' Jonathan Quick: Takes loss versus Ducks

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/10/17) Quick allowed four goals on only 24 shots in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Ducks on Sunday.

Perhaps this is a fitting end to a very frustrating season for Quick. He spent a vast majority of the 2016-17 injured, playing in just 17 games. Quick posted pretty healthy numbers -- including a .917 save percentage and GAA of 2.26 -- but he wasn't able to win many games, going 8-5-2. A fully healthy season in 2017-18 will be key for Quick to bounce back to elite status in 2017-18.

Kings' Jonathan Quick: Starting season finale Sunday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/9/17) Quick will start Sunday against the Ducks, Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider reports.

Quick will be making his 17th and final appearance of the 2016-17 season against the Kings' crosstown rival. He's been limited to so few games thanks to a groin injury that spanned 59 contests, so the fact that the American netminder has been limited to just eight wins shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. He'll be opposed by Jonathan Bernier in the Anaheim crease.

Kings' Jonathan Quick: Makes 25 saves in OT win

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/8/17) Quick was the winner in a 3-2 overtime game Saturday against Chicago. He made 25 saves.

Quick has been super sharp since his return, allowing more than two goals just twice in his 16 starts. Still, he was unable to carry his Kings to the postseason, as they just stopped scoring as the season dragged on. Quick will be as good as gold come October.

Kings' Jonathan Quick: Gets home start Saturday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/8/17) Quick led the Kings onto the ice for warmups, so he appears to be in line for the home start Saturday against the Blackhawks, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.

Quick has played well in his limited action this season, posting a 2.15 GAA and a .922 save percentage. The Blackhawks have nothing to play for, and they've been resting players, so this may not be as difficult a matchup as it seems on paper for Quick. However, initial indications are the Hawks will field a much stronger lineup than last game as they get closer to needing to be ready for the playoffs.

Kings' Jonathan Quick: Finally tops Oilers

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/5/17) Quick allowed four goals on 27 shots but came away the winner in a 6-4 victory over Edmonton on Tuesday.

Quick had previously faced the Oilers in Alberta twice since March 20, dropping both contests, and although this wasn't his prettiest outing, he was able to come out on top. He's now 7-5-1 with a 2.15 GAA and .922 save percentage in what's essentially been a write-off of a season thanks to a months-long injury absence, and the American netminder will soon be able to set his sights on bouncing back in 2017-18 since the Kings have been eliminated from postseason contention.
