  • Ducks' Andrew Cogliano: Scores goal and milestone in loss

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(12/21/16) Cogliano provided the lone goal for the Ducks on Tuesday in a 5-1 road loss to the Canadiens. As noted by NHL.com, this was the winger's 738th consecutive game played, representing the fifth-longest streak in NHL history.

It's unfortunate that Cogliano will associate the impressive milestone with a crushing road loss, but his fantasy owners must've been happy that he found twine despite the overall lackluster effort from the team. He's averaging a half-point per contest to complement a plus-6 rating, making him a sound choice for conservative fantasy owners that don't like surprises in the fantasy realm.

Ducks' Andrew Cogliano: Scores second goal in five games

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(12/16/16) Cogliano's eighth goal of the season Thursday against Boston helped lift the Ducks to a 4-3 win.

The NHL's active iron man with 735 consecutive games played and counting, Cogliano now has three goals in his past eight games and 15 points in 31 games on the season. A career checking-line forward, Cogliano is known for his consistency and ability to disrupt plays with his speed, but he's also having one of the best statistical seasons of his career. He's on pace for 40 points, a total he's surpassed just twice, and also with an outside chance at 20 goals, a feat he's accomplished just once. If his production was a little higher he'd have some fantasy value, otherwise he's best left on the waiver wire.

Ducks' Andrew Cogliano: Registers two points against Carolina

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(12/8/16) Cogliano scored a goal and added an assist with two shots on net during Wednesday's shootout win over the Hurricanes.

Cogliano has settled into a defense-first role and rarely receives power-play time, so his fantasy value is capped. He's worth an occasional look in daily games, but in most seasonal leagues, his offense isn't consistent enough to rely on. He has just seven goals and 14 points through 27 games this year, after all.

Ducks' Andrew Cogliano: Shooting and scoring more to start campaign

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/7/16) Cogliano has registered five goals on 27 shots through the first 13 games of the season.

During the 2015-16 campaign, Cogliano averaged just 1.6 shots per game and scored nine goals. With his shot volume up to start the year (2.08 shots per game), Cogliano is already well on his way to topping last season's goal total. However, with a single 20-goal, 40-point showing over the past five years with the Ducks, Cogliano will likely remain a low-end fantasy asset in deep settings.

Ducks' Andrew Cogliano: Scores both Ducks goals in Dallas

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(10/14/16) Cogliano scored both Ducks goals in Thursday's season-opening 4-2 loss to the Stars.

Cogliano was the only man to solve Stars goalie Antti Niemi, who held the Ducks offense at bay despite facing 35 shots while Dallas generated only 20. The speedy forward accounted for five of those Anaheim shots, as he unsurprisingly had plenty of open ice to work with on a line with Ryan Kesler and Jakob Silfverberg. Cogliano will continue to be an offensive threat as this trio is reunited after building plenty of chemistry near the end of last season.
