  • Blackhawks' Artem Anisimov: Undergoes successful surgery Tuesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/3/16) Anisimov underwent successful surgery to repair a right wrist injury Tuesday, and is expected to return to full hockey activities in 6-to-8 weeks.

Anisimov was a steady source of offense for the Blackhawks this season, notching 42 points (20 goals, 22 assists) in 77 regular-season games while centering the dangerous duo of Patrick Kane and Artemi Panarin on Chicago's second line. The 27-year-old forward will likely return to a similar, if not identical role in 2016-17, and should be similarly productive barring injury. At this juncture, there's no indication that Anisimov won't be ready for the start of next season's training camp.

Blackhawks' Artem Anisimov: Scores in Game 3 loss

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/17/16) Anisimov scored a goal in 15:56 worth of ice time in Sunday's Game 3 loss to the Blues.

Anisimov found the back of the net early in the second period and it appeared for a while as though it might be the game-winner, but St. Louis ultimately battled back with a pair in the final frame. The center had been quiet through the first two games of the series, but he now looks primed to continue building on one of the better regular seasons of his career.

Blackhawks' Artem Anisimov: Will play in Game 1

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/11/16) Anisimov (upper body) will be ready for Wednesday's Game 1 against the Blues, Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Anisimov skipped the last two game of the regular season, likely for precautionary reasons, but appears healthy heading into the postseason. Those considering him in for a playoff pool shouldn't be scared away by the previous injury, as he should slot in as usual alongside Artemi Panarin and Patrick Kane on the second line barring a setback of some kind over the next couple days.

Blackhawks' Artem Anisimov: Out again Saturday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/8/16) Anisimov (upper body) won't travel with the Blackhawks to Columbus for Saturday's regular-season finale against the Blue Jackets.

Anisimov is still recovering from an upper-body injury he sustained in Tuesday's game against the Coyotes, and remains without a definitive timetable for his return to Chicago's lineup. The Blackhawks will hope to have the big-bodied forward back in action for Game 1 of their first-round playoff series, as he's been an integral part of the Chicago's most productive unit this season, centering Patrick Kane and Artemi Panarin on the 'Hawks second line. Expect an update on Anisimov's status ahead of Chicago's first postseason contest.

Blackhawks' Artem Anisimov: Out Thursday, but healthy

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/7/16) Anisimov (upper body) is healthy per Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville, but the center will not play Thursday night against the Blues, Chris Hine of the Chicago Tribune reports.

With a playoff spot locked up, the Blackhawks have the luxury of sitting Anisimov. On Thursday night, look for Teuvo Teravainen to man the second line between Artemi Panarin and Patrick Kane.
