Auld has first win in five outings: Alex Auld made 31 saves, and Mike Ribeiro, Matt Niskanen and Loui Eriksson scored in the Dallas Stars' 3-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday. Zetterberg put Detroit on the board 6:16 into the middle period with his ninth goal. He cut into the slot from the right wing and beat Auld high on the sick side. Auld won for the first time in four outings.

Auld hit a bit of a cold streak after winning in his first two appearances with Dallas. Despite the slide, coach Marc Crawford hasn't lost faith in his backup goalie. He is going to use Auld in 2009-10 to spell Marty Turco, who was overworked in 2008-09. Auld is best used in Fantasy leagues that use average points per game. The Stars TG is a No. 2 option.
