Fantasy Analysis

Pyatt's 2008-09 season was abruptly interrupted late in the season with the shocking death of his fiance. He returned late in the playoffs, but hockey was the farthest thing from his mind for a long time. Pyatt had 10 goals and nine assists this season. He has had some trying seasons as of late, so despite the knee surgery, he won't have much Fantasy value next season.

LW Taylor Pyatt's tough ending to the season continued with word the big winger -- headed to unrestricted free agency and unlikely to be re-signed after making $1.5-million as his role slipped this season -- will require arthroscopic knee surgery after the season. This comes after Pyatt's fianc??e was killed in a car accident on April 2, keeping him away from the team for three weeks, and out of the lineup for a month before returning for the final four playoff games against the Blackhawks. 51/7/2009
