  • Coyotes' Luke Schenn: Inks two-year deal with Arizona

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(7/23/16) Schenn signed a two-year, $2.5 million contract with the Coyotes on Saturday.

Schenn appeared in 29 games with the Flyers last season, tallying five points (two goals, three assists) while registering a minus-7 rating, before being traded to the Kings in January, where he added 11 points (two goals, nine assists) with a plus-5 rating over 43 games. The 6-foot-3 26-year-old blueliner will likely slot into a bottom-pairing role with his new club in 2016-17, and won't be worth owning in the majority of fantasy leagues due to his lack of offensive upside.

Kings' Luke Schenn: Posts two points Wednesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/21/16) Schenn played a hand in both Kings goals Wednesday, assisting on Trevor Lewis' tally before finding the back of the net himself.

These were unsurprisingly Schenn's first two points of the series after he totaled just four goals and 12 assists in 72 games this season. Luke's a solid stay-at-home defenseman, but getting on the scoresheet is more his brother's forte.

Kings' Luke Schenn: Earns rare points Monday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/14/16) Schenn collected two assists in Monday's 5-0 win over the Blackhawks.

The stay-at-home d-man doesn't produce often, as these were just his 11th and 12th points of the season. With an average ice time of less than 18 minutes per night, a minus-4 rating and just 57 shots on goal in 58 games this year, Schenn shouldn't crack many fantasy rosters any time soon.

Kings' Luke Schenn: Limited impact following trade

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/14/16) Schenn has recorded four points (one goal, three assists) in 15 games with the Kings after recording five points (two goals, three assists) in 29 games for Philadelphia to start the season.

Schenn had a brief uptick in productivity with four points in a six-game stretch but has been held off the sheet over the last three games. He's not going to see heavy minutes for the Kings with Drew Doughty, Jake Muzzin and Alec Martinez anchoring the blue line so the change of scenery doesn't figure to change in fantasy outlook in a meaningful way.

Kings' Luke Schenn: Moved to Kings

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/6/16) Schenn was traded from the Flyers to the Kings on Wednesday, Elliotte Friedman of Hockey Night in Canada reports.

Schenn was part of a three-player trade that sent both he and Vincent Lecavalier to the Kings in exchange for Jordan Weal and a third-round pick. Given the current depth along the blue line for the Kings, it's tough to speculate where Schenn will end up among the team's defensive pairings moving forward, but that should sort itself out over the next few days.

  • April 1, 2015: Flyers' L. Schenn To Have Surgery Thursday
Schenn is slated to undergo abdominal surgery Thursday, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. The Flyers had already announced over the weekend that Schenn would miss the remainder of the season, so the disclosure of surgery doesn't do much to help fantasy owners at this point. The 25-year-old defenseman will finish his seventh NHL season with 14 points (three goals) over 58 games.
March 30, 2015: Flyers' Schenn Likely Done For Season
Schenn (lower body) is unlikely to play again this season. With the Flyers out of playoff contention, there's no reason to rush Schenn back, so his campaign looks done, with the 25-year-old blueliner having recorded 14 points and 18 PIM in 58 games for the team.
