  • Flames' Kevin Poulin: Out 4-6 weeks

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/25/15) Poulin underwent surgery to repair a dislocated knee cap Wednesday, and will be sidelined for the next 4-to-6 weeks while recovering from the procedure, Randy Sportak of the Calgary Sun reports.

Poulin has appeared in four games with AHL Stockton since being acquired by the Flames on Nov. 12, posting a 2-0-1 record with a 2.40 GAA and .918 in those contests. He'll return as AHL Stockton's primary goaltender once healthy.

Flames' Kevin Poulin: Acquired by Calgary on Thursday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/12/15) The Flames acquired Poulin from the Lightning in exchange for future considerations on Thursday.

The Flames have been plagued by awful goaltending this season, with Karri Ramo, Jonas Hiller, and Joni Ortio all sporting goals-against averages well above 3.50 in 19 combined total appearances. While Poulin may not be the answer in net Calgary is looking for, he will at least provide the Flames with additional organizational depth at the position and another option in goal if things don't begin to improve. Poulin has played in 50 career NHL games with the Islanders, posting an 18-25-3 record with a 3.07 GAA and .899 save percentage in those contests. He will report to AHL Stockton to begin his season with the Flames organization.

Lightning's Kevin Poulin: Recalled from AHL Syracuse

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/12/15) Poulin has been recalled from AHL Syracuse, Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports.

Poulin's exact role in the Tampa Bay organization is rather nebulous as he hasn't made any appearances for the Syracuse Crunch, nor has he been sent between the pipes for the Lightning this season. However, it appears that the team is viewing him as extra insurance with Ben Bishop and Andrei Vasilevskiy being the primary options in goal for the Bolts this season.

    Lightning's Kevin Poulin: Clears waiver

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(10/25/15) Poulin cleared waivers Sunday and has been assigned to AHL Syracuse, Bryan Burns of NHL.com reports.

Poulin was placed on waivers Saturday as the Lightning decided to turn to Kristers Gudlevskis for the backup role instead. Poulin will now return to AHL Syracuse, and should serve as the team's starting netminder.

Lightning's Kevin Poulin: Placed on waivers Saturday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(10/24/15) The Lightning placed Poulin on waivers Saturday, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Tampa Bay recalled Kristers Gudlevskis from AHL Syracuse on Friday, meaning the team is no longer in need of Poulin's services as a backup netminder. He will head to AHL Syracuse, where he will serve as the team's starting goaltender, at least until Andrei Vasilevskiy (neck) is healthy.

  • March 19, 2015: Isles' Poulin Reassigned To Minors
Poulin was reassigned to AHL Bridgeport on Thursday, NHL.com's Brian Compton reports.Poulin's demotion would seem to suggest that Jaroslav Halak (lower body) is at least capable of serving in a backup capacity for Saturday's game against the Devils. The 24-year-old only spent one game with the Islanders, serving as the understudy to Michal Neuvirth.
March 18, 2015: Toews has 2 goals, 2 assists in Blackhawks' win over Isles
CHICAGO (AP) Jonathan Toews and the Chicago Blackhawks have picked up their games since leading scorer Patrick Kane went down with an injury.
March 17, 2015: Toews has 2 goals, 2 assists in Blackhawks' win over Isles
CHICAGO (AP) Jonathan Toews scored twice and assisted on both of Marian Hossa's goals to lead the Chicago Blackhawks past the slumping New York Islanders 4-1 on Tuesday night.
March 16, 2015: Isles Recall Poulin
Poulin was recalled from Bridgeport of the AHL on Monday, according to Newsday's Arthur Staple.Poulin will more than likely be the backup goaltender as Jaroslav Halak didn't join the Islanders on their road trip to Chicago. Poulin will return to Bridgeport as soon as Halak is ready to go.
