  • Jets' Paul Postma: Scores first of season

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/17/17) Postma found twine for the first time this year Thursday, but he skated just 7:51 in an overtime loss to Pittsburgh.

Nearly 28 years old -- his birthday's next week -- Postma has never lived up to the offensive prowess he showed off in juniors (where he once recorded 84 points) and the AHL (where he cleared 40 twice). He's nothing more than a bit player on the Jets' blue line, averaging a meager 10:48 of ice time, which makes it highly unlikely that Postma will recapture the old magic.

Jets' Paul Postma: Seeing less ice

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/27/17) Postma's ice time has dropped significantly over his last five outings.

In his previous five outings, Postma has averaged just 8:31 of ice time per night, well off his season average of 11:03. For now, the 27-year-old is holding off Brian Strait and Julian Melchiori for a spot on the Jets' third pairing, but given his lack of production and under utilization, it certainly wouldn't be surprising if coach Paul Maurice decided to go in another direction after the All-Star break.

    Jets' Paul Postma: Remains goalless

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(12/12/16) Postma is still searching for his first goal of the season and has managed just five helpers along the way.

Considering Postma is averaging a mere 12:07 of ice time per game, it shouldn't come as a complete surprise that he has been unable to find the back of the net. The 27-year-old has been able to edge Mark Stuart out for regular game action, but could find himself on the outside looking in once Tyler Myers (lower body) is activated off injured reserve.

Jets' Paul Postma: Starting to produce

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/17/16) Postma has recorded three assists in his last five contests, including Tuesday's matchup with Chicago.

After a slow start to the season that included a three-game stretch in which Postma was a healthy scratch, the blueliner appears to finally be getting on the right track. Although he is unlikely to keep up this pace throughout the season, the 27-year-old is just six points off his career high from the 2012-13 campaign. Considering Postma has logged just 12:33 of ice time per night and is not on either power-play unit, he can almost certainly be left off your roster except in perhaps the deepest of leagues.

Jets' Paul Postma: Out against Dallas

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(10/25/16) Postma will be a healthy scratch Tuesday against the Stars, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Despite playing in all five games this season, Postma is averaging a meager 9:08 of ice time per night, third lowest on the team among all skaters. Not unsurprisingly, the blueliner has tallied just three shots on goals, one hit, and four blocked shots. Coach Paul Maurice has opted to reinsert Mark Stuart into the lineup in favor of Postma, which could be an ongoing back and forth throughout the year.

  • March 16, 2015: Jets' Postma Sidelined
Postma (unspecified injury) will miss a number of weeks, according to Paul Friesen of the Winnipeg Sun.With just six points and 16 PIM in 42 games to date, Postma is not a major fantasy factor, but his absence nonetheless represents a hit to the Jets' blue line depth.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) The Winnipeg Jets appeared headed for their fourth loss in five games. Then midway through the third period, things suddenly changed.
