    (3/4/16) McKenna was sent down to AHL Portland on Friday, Harvey Fialkov of the Sun Sentinel reports.

    McKenna's brief stint with Florida comes to an end with just one backup appearance. With the Pirates this year, the 32-year-old has been on top of his game, as he's logged a 2.30 GAA and .922 save percentage in 40 contests. A journeyman netminder, it is unlikely McKenna will see any game time in the majors this season barring injury.
