Duchene (knee) could return before the end of the first round, the Denver Post reports.The center skated hard Tuesday, and while he's not expected to be back for Game 4 on Thursday, there's still a chance Duchene could return before the series is over. He racked up 23 goals and 47 assists in 71 games during the regular season, and would provide a much needed boost to the struggling Colorado power play that has gone just 1-11 through the first three games of the playoffs.

Duchene (knee) is expected to miss the remainder of Colorado's first round series against the Wild, ESPN.com reports.Duchene injured his MCL in March and was originally slated to miss four weeks. He hoped to return for Game 3 or 4 of the first round, but coach Patrick Roy essentially ruled him out after Saturday's morning skate. "I don't think we will see Matt in [this] series," Roy said. "I'd be very, very surprised. He hasn't started skating yet. ... I don't think we will see him."
