Isles goalie prospect has surgery: The Sports Xchange reports G Mikko Koskinen, the Islanders' second-round draft pick in June, underwent hip surgery earlier this week to repair a torn labrum in his hip with Dr. Mark Philippon, who has performed similar surgeries in recent years on Isles goalie Rick DiPietro and retired center Mike Sillinger, as well as New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez.
