Moore will not be in training camp due to a lingering undisclosed injury, the team announced Wednesday. Additionally, the blueliner was designated for injured reserve, according to the team's training camp roster. Moore was part of the failed Evgenii Dadonov trade last season but was never asked to move from Anaheim as part of his previous trade deal. Over the last two years, the veteran has logged a combined 12 contests in which he notched a meager three assists, 15 assists and 11 blocks. With Moore entering the final year of his contract, this could be the end of his NHL career if he isn't able to recover from this undisclosed injury.... See More ... See Less

Ducks' John Moore: Trade canceled
The trade that sent Moore and Ryan Kesler from Anaheim to Vegas in exchange for Evgenii Dadonov and a second-round draft pick Monday has been retroactively invalidated. This news significantly affects only Dadonov, as Moore was expected to report to AHL Henderson and will almost certainly report to AHL San Diego now that he's back with the Ducks.... See More ... Golden Knights' John Moore: On the move again
Anaheim traded Moore and Ryan Kesler (hip) to Vegas in exchange for Evgenii Dadonov and a second-round draft pick Monday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Moore was sent from Boston to Anaheim in the recent Hampus Lindholm deal and now he's heading to Vegas. The 31-year-old blueliner will likely join AHL Henderson but could be used as an injury replacement by the big club at some point this season.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' John Moore: Shipped to Anaheim
The Bruins traded Moore, Urho Vaakanainen (undisclosed) and three draft picks to Anaheim in exchange for Hampus Lindholm and Kodie Curran on Saturday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Moore has appeared in just 12 NHL games over the last two seasons and still has one year left on his $2.75 million AAV deal. The 31-year-old blueliner will likely fill a similar depth role with the Ducks. He has one point and 11 blocked shots in seven games with Boston this season.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' John Moore: Reassigned to AHL affiliate
Moore (upper body) was sent down to AHL Providence on Tuesday, per CapFriendly. Moore was on injured reserve, but his assignment to the minor league suggests he is now healthy. The Bruins will likely want the 31-year-old to get some playing time in with Providence before he factors in at the NHL level again.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' John Moore: Not participating Wednesday
Moore (upper body) will not travel with the team for Wednesday's game in Colorado, Conor Ryan of MassLive.com reports Tuesday. The 31-year-old has averaged 17:34 of ice time and recorded one assist over seven appearances this season. Moore is eligible to return whenever he's ready.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' John Moore: Lands on injured reserve
Moore (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, per CapFriendly. Moore has already missed five games, so he'll be eligible to return whenever he's healthy. The Bruins have not provided a recovery timeline for the 31-year-old blueliner.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' John Moore: Still sidelined
Moore (upper body) won't play Thursday versus the Capitals, Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic reports. Moore will miss a fourth straight game, and a timeline for his return has yet to be announced. The 31-year-old's absence should be considered indefinite until he returns to practice in some capacity.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' John Moore: Not participating Thursday
Moore (upper body) will not make an appearance in Thursday's game against Philadelphia. Moore suffered an upper-body injury in the contest against Montreal on Jan. 12. Tyler Lewington was elevated Thursday to round out the Bruins' blue-line corps until the 31-year-old Moore is ready to return. Moore has averaged 17:34 of ice time and has recorded one point over seven appearances in 2021-22.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' John Moore: Exits with upper-body injury
Moore (upper body) won't return to Wednesday's game versus the Canadiens. Moore was hurt on a hit in the second period that immediately sent him to the locker room. With Derek Forbort and Connor Clifton both in the COVID-19 protocols, losing Moore for any amount of time leaves the Bruins thin on the blue line. He'll be evaluated, but he's likely questionable at best for Thursday's game versus the Flyers.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' John Moore: Recalled to Boston
The Bruins recalled Moore from AHL Providence on Wednesday, Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal reports. The 31-year-old should skate on Boston's third defense pairing Wednesday against Montreal while Derek Forbort and Connor Clifton remain in COVID-19 protocols. Moore has played six NHL games this season and is still searching for his first point.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' John Moore: Assigned to AHL affiliate
Moore was returned to AHL Providence on Tuesday, per Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal. Moore has averaged 18:58 of ice time and been held pointless over six NHL appearances this season. The 31-year-old has recorded six points over 10 performances with AHL Providence in 2021-22.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' John Moore: On active roster Saturday
Moore was promoted to the active roster Saturday but served as a healthy scratch versus the Lightning, per CapFriendly. Moore continues to yo-yo between the taxi squad and active roster as an emergency depth defenseman. The 31-year-old is unlikely to make much of an impact in fantasy since he has only played in five contests.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' John Moore: On taxi squad
The Bruins reassigned Moore to the taxi squad Friday. The defenseman joined the active roster and played 18:43 on Thursday but is no longer needed now that Charlie McAvoy (lower body) is presumably returning to the lineup Saturday. Moore doesn't have a point in five NHL games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' John Moore: Back with big club
Moore was promoted from AHL Providence but didn't play Tuesday versus the Devils, per CapFriendly. Moore continues to yo-yo between the minors and the active roster. The 31-year-old defenseman hasn't played an NHL game since Dec. 14.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' John Moore: Rejoins AHL
Moore returned to AHL Providence on Monday, per Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal. Moore has competed in four NHL games this season and averaged 19:26 of ice time. The 31-year-old will rejoin AHL Providence, where he has recorded one goal and five assists through 10 contests this season.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' John Moore: On active roster Saturday
Moore was called up from AHL Providence on Saturday, per CapFriendly. Moore was a healthy scratch for Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sabres. The 31-year-old has been a near-daily presence on the transactions list since the NHL reinstated the taxi squads.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' John Moore: Rejoins taxi squad
The Bruins added Moore to the taxi squad Friday, Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal reports. The 31-year-old defenseman rejoins the taxi squad a day after being sent down to AHL Providence. Moore, who's played four games for the Bruins this year, only figures to be called up if one of Boston's regular defenseman enters COVID-19 protocols or gets injured.... See More ... See Less -
