  • Devils' Taylor Hall: Hits scoresheet twice in return

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/2/17) Hall scored a goal, registered an assist and recorded four shots on net during Monday's win over Boston.

The first-year Devil missed the previous two games with a lower-body injury but showed no ill effects of the ailment Monday. Aside from missing time on two separate occasions because of injuries, Hall has been his usual reliable self this year with nine goals, 25 points and 89 shots through 28 games. His ceiling is capped because of his inability to stay healthy, but Hall remains a high-end scorer and fantasy asset when in the lineup.

Devils' Taylor Hall: Will return Monday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/2/17) Hall will return from injury in Monday's game against Boston, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.

The winger missed a pair of games due to a lower body, but is well enough to get back into action. He was on a bit of a hot streak before getting hurt, with a point in each of his last three games. With his 23 points this year so far, and his 3:10 power play minutes per game, he will continue to be a valuable fantasy play now that he's back on the ice.

Devils' Taylor Hall: Won't play Saturday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(12/30/16) Hall (lower body) will miss Saturday's game against Washington, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.

The 25-year-old will miss his second straight game due to a lower body injury. He will get a couple days to recover before the Devils' next game on Monday. He's scored 23 points in 27 games this year, so once he's back on the ice, it's safe to assume he'll return to the high-scoring level he's been at this year.

Devils' Taylor Hall: Ruled out Thursday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(12/28/16) Hall will miss Thursday's trip to Washington with a lower-body injury, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.

Good news for fantasy owners, it appears Hall's injury is unrelated to the knee injury that cost him eight games earlier in the year. The winger has been on a roll lately as he has registered an assist in each of his previous three outings. If the 25-year-old stays healthy, which is by no means guaranteed, he offers decent fantasy value when you consider he averages 20:27 of ice time per night, including over three minutes of power-play action.

Devils' Taylor Hall: Stock rising in new digs

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(12/26/16) Hall is on pace for 63 points, which is only two less than he had in a full season with the Oilers in 2015-16.

Hall's fantasy owners in keeper formats may have groaned when the star sniper was traded from a burgeoning offensive team in the Oilers to the Devils, who ranked dead last in scoring last year. However, he's actually hitting the scoresheet at a higher pace, having netted eight goals and 14 assists in only 26 games. A knee injury wiped eight games from his schedule, but Hall has played every game in December and looks none the worse for wear.

  • April 12, 2015: Oilers' Hall Ends Season With Two-Point Night
Hall scored his 15th goal of the season and had an assist in Saturday's loss to the Canucks. While it was a disappointing season for Hall, he went out with a strong performance Saturday. The 23-year-old finishes the season with 38 points and 158 shots on goal in 53 games. He's a prime bounce-back candidate next season, as injuries really took their toll on him this year. With just six power-play points this season, Hall is almost certainly due to improve on most of his offensive totals next season.
