  • Avalanche's Joey Hishon: Inks two-year deal in KHL

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/2/16) Hishon signed a two-year contract with Jokerit Helsinki of the KHL on Monday.

Hishon's last NHL action came in 2014-15, so it appears he will instead pursue his professional career overseas. The deal if for two years and there's no mention of an NHL out clause so it's quite possible he won't be eligible to play in the US again until that contract runs out. the 24-year-old 2010 first-round pick notched 43 points over 62 games last season with AHL San Antonio.
