Khokhlachev was reassigned to AHL Providence on Tuesday, Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe reports.With the Bruins not playing their next game until Friday, Khokhlachev was sent back to the minors to see further action. There's a possibility that one or both of David Krejci and Chris Kelly could be ready to go for Friday's game, which would likely result in Khokhlachev just remaining in Providence until further notice.

Khokhlachev saw 9:33 worth of ice time in Friday's shootout win over Columbus.Khokhlachev, who suited up Friday with David Krejci scratched, ended up making a mark in his first NHL game of the season, scoring in Round 7 of the shootout to cement the Bruins' win. With Krejci's status for Saturday's game against Montreal unclear, Khokhlachev -- who has 16 points in 15 AHL games with Providence to his credit -- has a chance to remain in the Boston lineup for the second straight contest.

Khokhlachev was recalled from AHL Providence on an emergency basis Thursday, Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe reports.With Brad Marchand (undisclosed) not traveling with the Bruins to Columbus for Friday's game, Khokhlachev was brought up from the minors to give the team some added insurance at forward in the event of another injury. Khokhlachev was similarly recalled on an emergency basis last week, but didn't end up playing in any games.
