|(8/27/16) Rattie is destined to make the Opening Night roster as a top-nine winger for the Blues, NHL.com reports.|
A top prospect for the Blues, Rattie has a chance to bloom into a full-time player after totaling only 26 NHL games over the past three seasons. Last season with AHL Chicago, the winger tallied 17 goals and 29 assists in 62 games, albeit with a minus-12 rating. At only 23 years old, Rattie still has time to improve his defensive acumen but the offensive skills are evident. With the offseason departures of David Backes and Troy Brouwer, the Blues are looking deeper into their system. "With a younger, different lineup, it's going to give Ty Rattie an opportunity to come in and gain a spot," said GM Doug Armstrong. He could be a popular sleeper heading into the 2016-17 season.
