  • Blues' Ty Rattie: Lobbying for full-time role

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(8/27/16) Rattie is destined to make the Opening Night roster as a top-nine winger for the Blues, NHL.com reports.

A top prospect for the Blues, Rattie has a chance to bloom into a full-time player after totaling only 26 NHL games over the past three seasons. Last season with AHL Chicago, the winger tallied 17 goals and 29 assists in 62 games, albeit with a minus-12 rating. At only 23 years old, Rattie still has time to improve his defensive acumen but the offensive skills are evident. With the offseason departures of David Backes and Troy Brouwer, the Blues are looking deeper into their system. "With a younger, different lineup, it's going to give Ty Rattie an opportunity to come in and gain a spot," said GM Doug Armstrong. He could be a popular sleeper heading into the 2016-17 season.

Blues' Ty Rattie: Agrees to new deal with St. Louis

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(7/14/16) Rattie agreed to terms on a new one-year, one-way deal with the Blues on Wednesday.

Rattie's deal is worth $650,000, but more significantly, it is a one-way deal which limits the team's ability to move him back and forth between the NHL and AHL. Last season, the winger appeared in only 13 games on his way to six points and was significantly more productive in the minors where he racked up 17 goals and 29 assists. The proof will have to be in the pudding for fantasy owners before they are willing to take a run at the 23-year-old.

    Blues' Ty Rattie: Rejoins Blues

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/18/16) Rattie was recalled by the Blues on Monday.

Considering the Blues already have 15 healthy forwards, Rattie's recall seems a bit confusing. It could indicate that one of the other forwards is suffering from an injury, but they also may just be getting a young skater some extra practice time with the parent organization following the close of AHL Chicago's season. Either way, it's unlikely the 23-year-old winger will see enough ice time to be worthy of fantasy consideration.

Blues' Ty Rattie: Sent to AHL Chicago on Monday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/29/16) Rattie was sent down to AHL Chicago on Monday.

Rattie notched his fourth goal of the season in Sunday's win against Carolina. He is likely being sent back down to the minors to make room on the depth chart for forward Ryan Reaves, whose three-game suspension ended Monday. However, it wouldn't be too surprising to see Rattie called back up to the Blues again at some point, as he's spent the entire season to this point shuffling back and forth between St. Louis and AHL Chicago.

Blues' Ty Rattie: Scores in Sunday's win

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/28/16) Rattie scored his fourth goal of the season in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Hurricanes.

Rattie has been getting some playing time with Jori Lehtera (upper body) missing the past two games. However, word leaked out Sunday that Lehtera might be dealing with concussion-related symptoms. If true, Rattie might be in the lineup for a little while longer.
