  • Canucks' Sven Baertschi: Likely out for Saturday's finale

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/9/16) Baertschi (lower body) is projected to be scratched from Saturday's regular-season finale against the Oilers, Kevin Woodley of NHL.com reports.

Baertschi seemingly made the most of his playing time this season, his first as a full-time member of the Canucks. Despite only averaging 13:27 of ice time, the Swiss skater managed to score 15 goals to complement 13 helpers in 69 games. He also a decent look on the man advantage, skating for 1:43 (on average) this season. He'll be a nice late pick in fantasy drafts next season.

Canucks' Sven Baertschi: Out again Tuesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/6/16) Baertschi (undisclosed) wasn't on the ice for pregame warmups, indicating he won't play Wednesday against Edmonton.

Baertschi (lower body) will miss a third consecutive game Wednesday against the Oilers, and remains without a definitive timetable for his return to game action. The Canucks only have two games left on the schedule after Wednesday's contest, meaning Baertschi could very well be done for the season. Those keeping tabs on the 23-year-old winger's availability can expect an update on his status if and when he's able to return to Vancouver's lineup for one of the team's final two games.

    Canucks' Sven Baertschi: Out Monday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/4/16) Baertschi (lower body) will not play in Monday's game against the Kings.

Baertschi missed morning shootaround and will now miss his second consecutive game while dealing with a lower-body injury. His next opportunity to return is against the Oilers on Wednesday.

Canucks' Sven Baertschi: Misses morning skate Sunday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/3/16) Baertschi (lower body) was not on the ice for Sunday's morning skate session.

Baertschi still has another day before the team returns to game action, but his absence Sunday casts doubt on his availability for the contest against the Kings. Expect another update on the winger come game day.

Canucks' Sven Baertschi: To sit Friday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/1/16) Baertschi (lower body) will miss Friday's game against the Ducks.

Baertschi was considered a game-time call, but it appears the lower-body ailment will require more than a day of recovery time. Blueliner Andrey Pedan will slot in as a forward for Friday's contest with a lack of healthy bodies, while Baertschi will now aim for a return Monday against the Kings.
