  • Bruins' Joe Morrow: Receives just 13:17 of ice time against Hawks

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/20/17) Morrow logged just 13:17 of ice time during Friday's loss to Chicago.

The young defenseman has struggled to get into the lineup this season and has just a single assist for the year. Morrow has first-round pedigree, and he could slowly carve out a bigger role going forward. However, he's completely off the fantasy radar, and you'll want to take a wait-and-see approach in all virtual settings.

Bruins' Joe Morrow: Makes season debut Thursday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(10/21/16) Morrow saw 16:08 worth of ice time in his season debut in Thursday's 2-1 win over New Jersey.

With Rob O'Gara scratched by the Bruins, Morrow drew into the lineup and paired with Torey Krug. In the process, he took one shot, while recording two hits and a block. It remains to be seen if Morrow will stay in the lineup, but given that he's not seeing power play time, his fantasy upside is limited.

Bruins' Joe Morrow: Inks one-year deal to stay in Boston

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(7/14/16) Morrow signed a one-year, one-way contract extension valued at $800,000 on Thursday, WEEI.com reports.

Morrow, who will become a restricted free agent next summer, appeared in 33 games at the NHL level in 2015-16, notching one goal with six helpers for the B's. As noted in the report, he's one of seven Bruins defensemen operating under a one-way contract. You can pass over Morrow in the majority of fantasy leagues until he becomes a regular in the lineup.

Bruins' Joe Morrow: Grabs two helpers for second straight game

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/23/16) Morrow collected two assists for the second straight game in Monday's 6-4 loss to Columbus.

Both his assists came on Matt Beleskey's goals in this one. Prior to last game against Dallas, Morrow had just three points in 22 games. Now, he's up to seven points in 24 games after two rare offensive outbursts and has, at the very least, shown a brief glimpse as to why the Penguins used a first-round pick on him ack in 2011.

Bruins' Joe Morrow: Surprises with two assists

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/21/16) Morrow helped two power-play goals in Saturday's 7-3 victory over Dallas.

It was unexpected production from the 23-year-old defenseman -- recording points for only the fourth time this year. However, it seems like everyone on Boston was clicking Saturday, giving the second-year pro a shot at making noise in the box score. Even with this multi-point effort, Morrow can be safely left on fantasy waivers.

Morrow was reassigned to AHL Providence on Saturday, Mark Divver of the Providence Journal reports.Morrow was recalled on an emergency basis earlier in the week with Zdeno Chara banged up and Dennis Seidenberg feeling ill, but those concerns seem to have since subsided after both blueliners were able to play in the subsequent two games. The 22-year-old will head back to Providence as it finishes up the regular season.

Morrow has been recalled from AHL Providence on an emergency basis, the Boston Herald reports.Zdeno Chara -- who absorbed a shot to his left ankle area on Saturday -- was given a maintenance day at Monday's practice, though Morrow's recall suggests that the status of the B's captain for Wednesday's contest against the Caps must be monitored.
