Osgood regains form in postseason: The Sports Xchange reports he made up for it with an outstanding playoff run, but Red Wings goaltender Chris Osgood wasn't close to being himself in the regular season. He posted career-worst numbers (3.09 goals-against average, .887 save percentage) and was given an 11-day break between starts in late February so he could refocus and work on his game. Osgood blamed his struggles on a lack of preparation and focus.

Osgood was 15-8 with a 2.01 GAA and .926 save percentage in 23 playoff games. He also posted two shutouts, but Detroit lost in seven games to the Penguins in the Stanley Cup Finals. It will leave a bitter taste in Osgood's mouth heading into 2009-10. Detroit has to decide whether or not to bring back Ty Conklin, who saw a fair amount of time in net. If Conklin is back, the duo could share time again next season. If not, Osgood might see the majority of starts. Right now, he is a low-end No. 1/high-end No. 2 Fantasy goalie.
