Bertuzzi needs stitches Saturday: The Sports Xchange reports Red Wings LW Todd Bertuzzi escaped a potentially serious injury when Rene Bourque's skate clipped him on the left cheek on Saturday. Bertuzzi needed several stitches to close the cut but returned to finish the game. He had no points and a plus-1 rating in 13:53 of ice time.

Fantasy Analysis

Bertuzzi has been playing on the team's top line with Pavel Datsyuk and Tomas Holmstrom, but he has just two goals and five points in 12 games. Not exactly the type of production we expect from a top-line Detroit skater. The good news is that Bertuzzi has stayed healthy in 2009-10 and his wonky back hasn't been an issue. Bertuzzi still has low-end Fantasy appeal until his breakout run.
