| RW Scott Walker and D Joe Corvo do not figure to be re-signed by the Caps, according to a Washington Post report. The team picked up the pair in late season trades during their playoff push. Corvo did a good job but is more of an offensive defenseman, and the Caps have enough of that kind of talent. Plus, they've got to make room for D John Carlson and D Karl Alzner, whose time truly appears to have come. Walker played sparingly but was a good veteran to have in the locker room. Someone should be interested in these players -- Corvo for sure. (Updated 2010612) TSX |
